Job Summary
The Residential Service Technician will oversee service jobs to ensure quality and efficiency for customer satisfaction with company revenue in mind.
The Residential Service technician, or skilled service worker, is responsible for providing technical repair and service work in a home, facility or in the field. These professionals may install and service a wide range of hardware depending on the technician’s specific job. Service technicians may work in many other areas where complex hardware needs to be maintained or fixed. Their responsibilities include diagnostic review, repair, and replacement of parts as well as the replacement and installation of equipment.
Key responsibilities & duties
- 1. Follow instructions given from your service manager
2. Keep all work areas neat and organized
3. If applicable keep van properly stocked
4. Complete needed: repair, diagnostic, replacement for service
5. Continuing customer & office communication throughout completion of job
6. Complete all work order documentation
7. Manage time and material request
8. Other tasks and responsibilities as required
Academic & trades qualifications
Electrical trade school Trade school (preferred)
Journeyman Electrician licence (plus)
Work experience & skills
1+ years of Residential trade experience
Valid Driver’s Licence and insurable driving record
Strong communication & technical mechanical skills
Dependable, responsive, and self-motivated
Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays

Job Summary
The Residential Foreman will oversee residential construction sites to ensure quality and efficiency for customer satisfaction with company revenue in mind.
The Residential Foreman is responsible for leading an electrical crew on residential construction sites. Their primary role is to ensure planning, laying out, installing, and wiring electrical components are completed, as per project drawings, specifications and in accordance with applicable electrical codes. This position will oversee the work and job performance on sites and will ensure ongoing attention to work-site safety, standards, and legislation are met. A key component of this position will be troubleshooting and providing exceptional service to all our customers.
Key responsibilities & duties
- Manage a crew of Journeymen and or Apprentices.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations.
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
- Test electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to crew members.
- Be the point of contact with the general contractor’s site superintendents.
- Supervise and train apprentices on the job, as required.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and through reporting violations of policies, procedures, and guidelines to immediate supervisor.
- Controlling inventory on truck, jobsite, and in/out of stock (for active jobs).
- Organize and maintain material lists for your crew.
- Responsible for maintaining company tools.
- Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Experience interpreting blueprints and specifications.
- Proven history of leading by example and providing exceptional guidance to crew.
- Ability to form material lists.
- Candidates must be comfortable working at heights.
- Able to work in high pressure, time sensitive conditions.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong communications skills and customer service orientation.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to supervise others’ work and coach for performance.
